About Us: Family Counseling and Consulting was created because of a commitment to help meet the needs of individuals, couples, and families both in Southern Oregon as well as nationally. We strive to help people facing difficult, family, economic, spiritual and social pressures. We also want to make help accessible and practical. We believe that counseling and therapy is about offering practical skills and tools to help people negotiate life's trials. We offer non-judgemental and caring support, insight, and information. Scott Christie, Ph.D. is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a clinical supervisor in Oregon and Nevada. He specializes in therapy related to various compulsive and addictive behavior, and enjoys facilitating healthier relationships. He utilizes concepts such as 'boundaries in relationships', 'interdependency', and exploring creative and new responses to old problems. He continues to divide his time as a a therapist, supervisor, educator, and consultant.
Wanda Clarkson, M.Ed, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and works in Oregon. Wanda helps adolescents and adults working in individual, group and family settings. She enjoys helping clients work through trauma and specializes in abuse issues and those struggling with depression, self-esteem, assertiveness training and conflict resolution. She is also conducting ongoing therapy groups for women and empowers women through her online/phone consultations.
As with all of our services, we coordinate services with other therapists and physicians in the region if referrals and/or a coordination of services appears helpful. Your health insurance coverage may also defray fees incurred in face-to-face therapy.
